We are starting to have the habit of american productions : set design, special effects, and a small end kind where everything ends very well. Gravity is in the line, no doubt. Then of course, the decorations are beautiful and it feels like a moment in space, so the immersion is convincing. Nothing to say on this aspect, everyone will agree that the effects are striking. For all that, is what a movie boils down to pretty pictures? It is the problem of Gravity. Everything has been thought of in this sense, and there is not a great thing for the rest, that is to say, for the bottom. The story is almost non-existent and the characters have nothing to say. In short, I might be rather a good audience, this film is empty. Its title sums it up pretty well : of the seriousness, but absolutely nothing else. Watch the trailer and you will have seen. Very clearly, Tarantino has dropped. We felt since a number of films its wish to compete in the large widths with American History as well as the History of the cinema, coming out with clearly established codes of the lovers. It is now quite the case.
